The basic differences between a web browswer (such as Internet Explorer) and a search engine (such as Google) can be found here.
I would define a web browser as a program that lets you look at a web site or a search engine. They can run without internet access (if you were viewing a saved webite) and run off of your computer.
On the other hand, a search engine is an internet tool used to find websites of interest to you. It is not a program that can be installed on your computer, and needs internet access and a web browser to work.

I cannot give you credit for this response. Anyone can link to a website. The point is to evaluate resources and put the findings in your own words.
ReplyDeleteCorrect! One actually gets you to where you want to go by utilizing keywords and index. The other actually reads the code and follows the instructions. Displays the files by following the instructions within the tags.
ReplyDeleteThis is a pretty clear response, and doesn't play around with superfluous words or tangents, just gets the information out, which is what the usual Internet surfer is looking for. 9.5/10
